Britney Spears Issues Clarification After Facing Backlash For ‘Body Shaming’ Christina Aguilera’s Dancers With Offensive IG Post-DETAILS BELOW!
Britney Spears is an avid social media user. She has often made bold statements which have ultimately brewed controversies. The Queen of Pop has even invited flak for her statements, but that have never stopped her from landing herself in new controversies.

Recently, Britney Spears was slammed for ‘body-shaming’ Christina Aguilera's backup dancers with an ‘offensive’ message on her Instagram post.

In a long Instagram post, Briteny shared that she wished to have chosen her dancers, complaining that her team would hire ‘tiny’ performers to make her look bigger onstage.

"I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children...my dancers.. I mean if I had Christina Aguilers's dancers I would have looked extremely small...I mean why not talk about it?? Don't you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, whom I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me!!! It's hard sometimes now I see how much of my womanhood was stripped away at that time and every person sat back and didn't say a thing!!! Anyways... I will be here talking about things people NEVER talked about!!!" Britney wrote in her Instagram post on Monday with a picture of a quote by Rodney Dangerfield, "I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people". Britney wrote, in a now-deleted post. However, soon after all the commotion and backlash Britney decided to pull down the controversial post.

The singer opened up about her feelings of not having freedom due to her conservatorship under her father; she wished she had a choice in life and how no one spoke up for her. Spears went on to say that her confidence could have benefited if she was free, reported Meaww.

In the controversial post the singer called them ‘fat’ her fans were disappointed in her for comparing her dancers’ physiques to those of Aguilera’s.

Reacting to the post, “Oh honey, delete this while you have time,” a follower urged. "Britney… body shaming is out,” one person wrote.

“There is so much more to life than looking thin,” another person added. “This is so f*cking offensive Britney,” told another fan.

However, Britney was least concerned about the issue and she said, in a now-deleted voice memo, that she didn't mind offending others as she has felt offended her whole life.

In an Instagram post, Spears shared an illustration of two fairies and in the caption she wrote, "I found there was only one way to look thin: hangout with fat people." Continuing she added, "I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children ... my dancers ... I mean if I had Christina Aguilera's dancers I would have looked extremely small."

Hours later, Britney clarified about the controversial post and said that she did not intend to be critical of Aguilera's "beautiful body." The singer also acknowledged that her original comments were a "projection of the insecurities I deal with all the time as a result of how my parents and the media have treated me."

She continued, "By no means was I being critical of Christina's beautiful body, it is what it is. I flew to see her show once and the main thing I noticed was the difference of our people on stage!!! By no means did I even mention Christina, look at my post!!! I was inspired by her show and she is a beautiful woman of power ... Thank you @xtina for inspiring me !!!" Spears said that she would "never intentionally body shame anybody because I know what it feels like."

She further mentioned in the post, "To be honest, I’m not trying to be critical of anybody. What I posted is a projection of the insecurities I deal with all the time as a result of how my parents and the media have treated me … I would never intentionally body shame anybody because I know what it feels like … I struggle with this because of how I feel about myself, not because I hate how anybody looks … I feel like my family knew I was insecure and people were trying to purposefully feed into this insecurity by not letting me have a choice in the people who were on stage with me. I appreciate you all being understanding with me as I figure out this new life I’m living !!!"
