Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been taking the internet by storm with her appearances at international fashion events. After stunning at the Met Gala 2024 and Gucci Cruise Show 2025, within a matter of weeks, she garnered appreciation worldwide for her natural beauty. However, her silence on the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict has now irked the netizens from around the world. They have added her name to the ‘Blockout 2024 list’ which also features other international celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Taylor Swift, Zendaya, The Jonas Brothers, and many more. 

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, her name appeared on the list because of her silence on the ongoing situation in Gaza. Despite making back-to-back stunning appearances at the Met Gala and the Gucci Cruise Show, she failed to talk about the matter on a global platform. The netizens have accused her of being ‘complicit’ in the conflict due to her inaction and for not driving attention towards it. The movement gathered more steam after the Met Gala 2024, with netizens sharing their list of celebrities that they have blocked on different social media platforms for not talking about Israel’s increasing onslaught on Gaza. The boycott of celebrities, reportedly, aims at compelling prominent figures to talk about the conflict on their wide-reaching platforms and essentially urging for calls for a ceasefire.
