Avengers Endgame: Take A Closer Look At What Went Into Making Of The Epic Final Battle Sequence Against Thanos- Video
Marvel Studios’ blockbuster Avengers: Endgame was the biggest release of the year and also made for the highest grossing film in history! The movie stayed with us long after it ended and the final battle scene is still freshly etched in our minds. The iconic battle, that saw all the Avengers come together and join forces to defeat Thanos has to be one of the biggest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we are still in awe of how the makers hadn’t just made a movie based on a comic book, but instead they beautifully brought a comic book to life!

While the battle that took place at the end of Avengers: Endgame had us cheering and was goosebunps- inducing, we were definitely curious to know what went into the actual making of the sequence. Now, Marvel Studios VFX supervisor Dan DeLeeuw explains in detail about how the final battle was made. As a comic fan himself, DeLeeuw compared the experience of playing with action figures to doing the same with real people. He also mentioned that most of the shots included actual actors, and the scenes were later enhanced with CGI. The scene that shows the opening of those portals, which left our brains unmoored, in particular required a lot of work not just because a lot of actors were involved, but also because they had to show world on both sides of the portal. Take a look at the video here:
