Veteran actor Adil Hussain, who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances, never leaves a stone unturned when it comes to expressing his opinions. As the Bangladesh clash seems to take a turn for the worse every day, visuals of minority communities suffering amidst the violent chaos have been surfacing on the internet leaving netizens in shock. Reacting to the visuals, the senior actor recently took to his official social media handle to share his thoughts on the sufferings of the minority communities in Bangladesh.

Taking to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, Hussain urged India to protect the minority communities and slammed the perpetrators. He wrote, “Heart Wrenching visiluals from Bangladesh. The Attacks and Atrocities on Minority communities and on others in Bangladesh are Shocking! India must do more to Protect them. I stand with the Pains and Sufferings of the Victims. And I urge the Perpetrators to Stand Down. They should hang their Heads In Shame for their Actions. Well, as soon as his tweet was published, netizens rushed to the comment section of the post to shower him with love and adoration. One wrote, “Thank you Adil for raising your voice but unfortunately for the likes of Arfa, Hindu or non-Muslim life or human rights doesn’t even matter.” Another wrote, “Good one but lacks ingenuity! For those who don’t know, the ongoing Bangladesh riots started after the Government there reportedly introduced a new quota system, which awarded the descendants of the “freedom fighters,” who “liberated Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971,” around 30% of the highly-coveted government jobs, according to a report by Aljazeera. This led to violent clashes in the country. 

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, resigned from her post and fled to London via India, as per recent reports. Videos and photos of the vandals destroying public property and stealing goods from her bungalow are going viral on social media. Post the incidents many videos surfaced of Bangladeshi Hindu houses, businesses, and temples being vandalized. 


On the work front, Adil Hussain was last seen in Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the spy-thriller was released on the big screens on August 2, 2024.
