Ace Badminton Player Saina Nehwal Joins BJP, Says 'Looking Forward To Work Hard For The Country'
Ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal has often shown her support to the governing party, BJP. She has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on several occasions, and today, she has officially joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. Ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal has now officially become a part of India's politics. After Gautam Gambhir who joined BJP sometime back, it is Saina from the field of sports who has now shown her support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and joined Bhartiya Janta Party. Before the Delhi elections, Saina officially became a part of BJP and it is being reported that she will rally for the said party in the upcoming elections. Sports personalities are often inclined towards politics and Saina's entry into BJP has not come as a surprise.
Often Saina Nehwal has supported PM and praised him for all the initiatives that he has carried. From Beti Bachao to Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Saina has praised PM throughout. Sometimes she has even received flak for it. It was not very long ago that she was slammed for praising Narendra Modi's speech at Ram Lila Maidan on CAA and NRC. She had tweeted, "I'm hearing a thought-provoking speech from @narendramodi sir #RamlilaMaidan". Incidentally, a lot of people had made the exact same tweet. As she officially joined BJP today, in her speech, Saina once again showered praises on Narendra Modi and said that she is looking forward to serving the nation. "Today, I am joining a party that performs well for the country. Modi Ji has done so much for sports in India with initiatives like Khelo India. Looking forward to working hard for the country and the people: Badminton player," she said.
