Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding has been the highlight For the past seven months. Ever since getting engaged in January, the couple’s nuptials have been a trending topic of discussion on all social media platforms. As they tied the knot on July 12th, at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai, the officials are trying to investigate a suspicious tweet on the grand Ambani wedding posted by a netizen.

Quoted by Hindustan Times, the tweet posted by an X (formerly known as Twitter) user by the handle @FFSFIR read, “A shameless thought crept into my mind that if a bomb went off at Ambani's wedding, half the world would turn upside down. Trillions of dollars in one pin code.” The media publication reports that the Mumbai Police is trying to establish the identity of the netizen. Opening up about the same, the senior police officer told Hindustan Times on Sunday night that they were aware of the post. Despite being aware it was a hoax, they took no chances and heightened the security around the venue. The officials have reportedly not registered an FIR (First Information Report) but are trying to find the person and the motive behind the tweet, who posted the tweet on July 13, Saturday. Mumbai Police made an optimum security arrangement at the wedding venue as well as the areas around it in BKC, as a prevention in case of an untoward incident. Quoted by the media publication, the official added, “The message has been taken as a hoax but the police team, which looks at social media posts, will definitely look into it.”
For those who don’t remember, dignitaries from around the world flew to India, to attend Anant and Radhika’s wedding. After a seven-month-long engagement period and three pre-wedding ceremonies, Indian multi-billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son married pharmaceutical tycoons Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant’s daughter, surrounded by friends and family.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s first pre-wedding celebration happened in March 2024, where the Ambanis introduced their wildlife center Vantara, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, to their guests. This was followed by a cruise outing in May 2024 with the theme ‘La Vita E Un Viaggio’. They kicked off their third pre-wedding ceremony earlier last week with the Mameru ceremony. Anant and Radhika’s wedding celebrations have become a huge trending topic of discussion on social media and have attracted a lot of scrutiny from the netizens.
