‘Har Har Shambhu’ Singer Farmaani Naaz In LEGAL Trouble? The Original Writer Of The Song To File A Case Against Her Under Copyright Act-Report
The original writer of ‘Har Har Shambhu’ Jeetu has said if Farmani Naaz does not apologize to him but he may take legal action against her
Indian Idol contestant and YouTube fame Farmani Naaz, who sang the viral song ‘Har Har Shambhu’ has been making headlines for controversial reasons. A certain section of people particularly Muslim clerics are miffed with Farmani over the song and alleged that she has hurt Muslim sentiments with this devotional song. Amidst this uproar, the original writer of the song Jeetu Sharma has reportedly decided to take legal action against Farmani under the copyright act.
In a recent interview, as reported by Aaj Tak, Farmani stated he is very upset with Farmani Naaz and that he may file a case against her. The writer said, "I have no problem with her singing, but she is going everywhere saying that this song is her original version, while it is wrong. I wouldn't have bothered with her if she had given my name in the credits. Farmani has broken the rule of copyright. If she doesn't apologize then I will take legal action.”
Jeetu added that till now 310 versions of the 'Har Har Shambhu' song have been made. He also shared his journey and revealed that he did not have the money to record this song, so he sold his car for only 60 thousand. This was his last chance. If the song had not turned out to be successful, he would have quit YouTube.
For the unversed, Farmani Naaz, an Indian Idol 2021 participant hails from Muzaffarnagar. The 30-year-old Farmani’s hidden singing talent was first discovered by Bhura Dholak who made her sing for a popular YT channel. Later, after her songs became popular, the channel was named after her.
The original song ‘Har Shambhu’ is written by Jeetu and sung by Abhilipsa Pandey.
