Urvashi Dholakia: ‘I Got Diagnosed With Tennis Elbow Due To Extreme Usage Of My Mobile Phone’- EXCLUSIVE
The lockdown period has got all of us hooked to our mobile phones a bit too much. TV actress Urvashi Dholakia is utilizing this time with a light-hearted chat show called Trending Now. And talking to us exclusively during an Instagram LIVE chat, Urvashi revealed a lot of interesting details about it:

How did the idea of coming up with a chat show strike you?
People speculate a lot about celebrities after which they kind of create an image of them in their minds. But in reality, that celebrity has his/her side of the story which is interesting to know. Also, I like to interact with people and it was always in my mind to bring up a chat show but it needs to have a lighter tone. The audience should feel that an engaging conversation is happening between two friends and it shouldn’t come across as a formal one.

What is more difficult? Jotting down questions or answering them?
For me, both are equally easy as in my quiz show, I ask them candid questions. And when I am interviewed somewhere, if I don’t want to answer a question, I don't answer it at all.

One can say that the usage of the Internet has increased due to lockdown…
Yes, this medium has always been helpful to me. Even when we used to shoot on sets and if my shot is not there, I kill my time through the web.

How much time do you spend on phone these days?
Some days back, I got diagnosed with tennis elbow. Phone ko pakad pakadkar ye hogaya hai. Kyunki mera saara kaam isspar hota hai. For my show at times I edit myself, like most of the introductions you see, are edited by me.

Are you social media savvy?
Not much. I hardly open my Twitter account. I open Instagram when I have to upload something. And I only follow the people who are interesting enough. So, you can't say that I am a social media savvy person.

How often do you read comments on your posts and do trolls affect you?
I do read sometimes. But as my whole family is on my page, so anytime if I feel something wrong is being written, I delete  those comments because my mother doesn't like it. My sons don't react much, but at times they also do. Look, trollers are jobless people, but we can’t be taking all their nonsense every time just because we are celebrities. That’s why, I give it back to them sometimes.

Any weird comment that you came across recently?
Oh, there are so many! One, in particular, cracked me up. Someone had written ‘Who is the best vampire on TV-Komolika?’. While it may have been written in a positive way, I thought to myself, when did Komolika turn into a vampire? So, that was funny.

How do you react on the recent meme of yours that says Kahaani Corona Ki?
Oh, I loved it! Many people have forwarded it to me, so I posted it. Anything which is funny and not below the belt, I really like it.

You have also become active on TikTok these days…
My son Kshitij motivated me for the app. Also, speaking about selecting the videos, we follow different people and then we make a set of ten.
