Shilpa Shinde Gets A Sharp Reply from CINTAA, "No Time And Inclination To Sabotage Anybody's Career"- EXCLUSIVE
Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde has held the Cine and TV Artistes Association responsible for her not getting good work on TV. In an interview, she stated that CINTAA didn’t want people to work with her. After her accusations, we decided to get in touch with Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA, Amit Behl.

We asked him questions upfront over Shilpa Shinde’s complaint against CINTAA. Here are the excerpts from our conversation:

Shilpa Shinde has accused CINTAA of being responsible for her not getting good work on TV. Your thoughts?
CINTAA is a union. It takes care of the welfare of its members, solves their disputes and looks after their well-being. We have nothing to do with people who are not our members.

But, Shilpa was expelled from CINTAA…
Shilpa was expelled from CINTAA because she bad-mouthed her own association. She went to the media saying, ‘I don't care about CINTAA’. Then, she went to the media and other platforms, maligning us. We are an organisation that has respectable people right from Durga Khote to the current President Vikram Gokhale. By the way, do you think the CINTAA Executive Committee has that much of time to focus on a single actor/actress and make efforts to sabotage anyone's career? Here, we are trying to offer help to our members and if somebody has to stop someone from getting work, it has to be the Producers’ Association. It can't be us (pauses).

Please continue…
Why would we do that? Shilpa went on to take political aid. That platform supported her but later on when they realised she is in the wrong, they backed out didn't they?

Then, she goes to Bigg Boss and starts maligning CINTAA. Before that, she was expelled already. We are a bunch of matured people. Shilpa's allegations are baseless.

But, in the past, some members have been expelled right? So, this isn’t the first instance…
Of course. We have expelled members in the past.

Did any of those blame CINTAA for not getting good work post expulsion?
Never. In fact, some of them apologised, and were reinstated.

If Shilpa Shinde apologises, what will be CINTAA’s stance?
It will be brought to the General Body, the decison will be entirely their's. We are elected members, who come and work for a small time and after that, the next committee comes and takes over. So obviously we leave all decisions to the General Body.

That doesn't answer my question. Can Shilpa be ever reinstated in CINTAA?
Nothing is impossible. But for that to happen, she has to make the first move and apologise for the misgivings that she has done. Only then, her return to CINTAA will be considered.
