HIT OR FLOP: Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin 3, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala?

HIT OR FLOP: Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin 3, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala?
MAJOR DRAMA in the coveted list. Ekta Kapoor could have thrown a party if it just wasn't for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. Balaji Telefilms themselves might not have expected that Kumkum Bhagya is on No.1 this Thursday (Week 14 of 2019). Yes, you heard it right, it's Kumkum and not not Kundali which more often got higher ratings that it's older brother. Would you believe if I told you that Kumkum has leaped from 6 to 1? Yes, it has! Kumkum Bhagya is the Numero Uno, today.

So what happened to Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala which was on top last week? Well, it just fell by one position. Nothing much to worry, I guess. The worry could be in the Balaji camp about the slump of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 which had finally made it in the top bracket and was sitting pretty at No 2; it has now slipped to 6. The show has been a lot in the news for Erica's off-screen romance with Parth Samthaan, which strangely has not largely translated to much on-screen chemistry which could have entrenched the show firmly up- but again that might be due to the current track which does not require them to cuddle up. But Ekta can still party this weekend. Kumkum Bhagya's younger brother Kundali Bhagya has climbed up from 4 to 3. Yes, Super Dancer is no more on 3 but now low down at 8.

Rajan Shashi might be tad worried that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has fallen from 5 to 6, but I think he may be used to this ascent and descent of his show which is rather commonly by just one spot. Back to Ekta Kapoor. Naagin had dropped last week to 8 and now it's on 4. So yeah now tell us MIss Kapoor, are you letting your hair down this week or not?

Tujhse Hai Rabta and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have played the swapping game. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is on 9 this week and Tujhse Hai Rabta on 10.

So while I love television, I can't avoid my attention diverting from GEC channels to Sports and News Channels, courtesy the on-going IPL and the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 polls. Bet you are shifting your interest too even if you are a fiction and reality show buff. Hota hai, West Indies cricketers are playing out-of-the-world in this current season and it's anybody's race in the elections. So the drama continues and I will be back next Thursday with more salt and spice.
