HIT OR FLOP: Kaun Banega Crorepati, Nach Baliye 9, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Or Choti Sardarni?
Kaun Banega Crorepati, Nach Baliye 9, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Or Choti Sardarni? Who won? Who lost? FInd out
It's that Thursday again when closed door meetings must have happened in almost every channel. It's that Thursday again when celebrations must have sparked off. It's that Thursday again which must have seen a few profession having received a drubbing. Over to Week 39, let's tell you what happened on Indian television in those seven days?
Having got her Komolika in the form of Aamna Sharif (Kashish of Kahiin To Hoga), Ekta Kapoor has another reason to celebrate. The TV Czarina is back on No 1 in the coveted list of the Top 10 shows of Week 39, with Kundali Bhagya that has often romped the chart ever since its broadcast. Rajan Shahi has been made to move on No 2. Team Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, midnight oil burn karoge kya aaj raat se? We bet Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan too have longish forlorn faces at this moment. Hota hai, hota hai.
Amitabh Bachchan makes my adrenaline flow ever since my college days and even after so many years, it's not an exception. The way he conducts Kaun Banega Crorepati, the way he interacts with the contestants, the way he looks at them and gives that inimitable expression of disbelief- still calls for appointment viewing on the show. It's on No 3 this week again for the second consecutive week, and why not?
Kumkum Bhagya may have slipped from 4 to 5 but knowing Ekta's knack of getting it right, we won't be surprised if it moves up either next week or the week after that.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has slipped from 6 to 7. Well, it has its loyal audience and Asit Modi need not spend a sleepless week.
Interestingly, the 8, 9 and 10 positions have not had a change, it's Choti Sardarni, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and Tujhse Hai Raabta just like it was in Week 38.
So, that's that! See you next week. And I am ending on a sad note. Depite herculean efforts, Nach Baliye has failed to squeeze itself in Top 10.
