Produced by Rajan Shahi, Star Plus’ show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been running successfully for almost 15 years now. Starring Pranali Rathore, Harshad Chopra, Shreyansh Kaurav and many more in pivotal roles, the show is one of the most-watched shows that often tops the weekly TRP charts. In the past few episodes it was seen that Aarohi and Dadi come to know that Akshara is pregnant, but decide to hide the fact from everyone.

Today’s episode starts with Aarohi asking Akshara if she is feeling good. As Akshara gets conscious, she questions Aarohi why she has been feeling sick and dizzy. Aarohi explains to her that it is happening because she is pregnant, this leaves Akshara shocked. She goes on to recall Abhinav’s birthday celebrations. She feeds him cake and wishes him on his birthday. They share a romantic moment as he holds her close. Abhimanyu comes to check on Akshara, when Aarohi informs him that she is fine now. Aarohi goes on to plead with Akshara to not reveal to everyone that she is pregnant. She explains how they can tell everyone the truth after the wedding concludes. Akshara who is still in shock comes out with Abhimanyu, just as Dadi explains how she might be tired going through all the wedding rituals. As Abhimanyu tells everyone that they need to get Akshara checked, she tells everyone that she is pregnant. Abhimanyu asks her to repeat herself. She tells him that she is pregnant, leaving everyone shocked. Manjiri questions why they lied and hid the fact about this. Dadi comes to the rescue and explains how she was the one who asked Aarohi to keep Akshara’s pregnancy a secret so that she doesn’t have to deal with the taunts of the society. The family members start to discuss Akshara's pregnancy. She starts feeling dizzy again and Abhimanyu catches her. The wedding gets called off and Abhimanyu takes care of Akshara by helping her take off her jewellery. Just as the episode comes to an end Akshara is seen having a heart-to-heart talk with Abhinav’s photo. She claims to know that she will give birth to a daughter. As she continues to talk to Abhinav, Abhimanyu asks her what about him, as they were all set to get married. 

In the next episode it will be seen that Manjiri will stay adamant and state that Akshara must choose between becoming Abhimanyu’s wife or becoming Abhinav’s baby’s mother. According to the recent promo of the show, it is hinted that Abhir and Abhimanyu will be getting into a fatal car accident, which will lead to Akshara raising her and Abhinav’s daughter Naira alone. It is being reported that this twist will lead to yet another generational leap where Naira and Aarohi’s daughter Ruhi will become the next female protagonists of the serial.
