WOAH! Krushna Abhishek's Show The Drama Company Gets An Extension
Sony has given an extension to The Drama Company and the comedy show starring Mithun Chakraborty, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri and Ali Asgar will not go off air
The Drama
Company, Sony’s latest comedy offering, is here to stay despite constant
rumours that the show will be pulled off air.
The show had not
skyrocketed to the top of the TRPs chart despite a stellar cast of names like
Mithun Chakraborty, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri and Ali Asgar.
But here is good
news for all comedy lovers, The Drama Company has got extended for a few more
months.
Recently the
show was shifted to a new time slot. After The Kapil Sharma Show went
off air due to Kapil Sharma's health issues,
The Drama Company occupied its primetime slot.
And now once
again, it’s celebration time for the team as the show has got extended as well.
Ridhima Pandit
took to Instagram to share the celebratory moment with the team. The whole cast
along with showrunners Simoes sisters are seen cutting a cake in the video.
The show was
earlier in the news after it was reported that Krushna and long-time
collaborator Sudesh had a major fall out on the sets of The Drama Company.
While talking to
the media, Krushna had said, “During Comedy Circus, he (Sudesh Lehri) would get
better lines than me, but I never complained. A comedy show is not run by an
individual, it requires teamwork. I can't help it if people are calling 'The
Drama Company' my show. I play the central character in every skit. I
understand that he too, vies for equal screen space and importance, as we have
always been called Krushna-Sudesh ki jodi."
But in
an interview to SpotboyE.com ,
Sudesh had rubbished all reports of a rift, saying: “I am surprised that such
things are being written about us because we share an excellent camaraderie.”
