What Happened To Pavitra Punia’s Marriage? TV Actress Returns To Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

If things had gone as planned, Pavitra Punia, who essayed the role of the aggressive vamp, Dr Nidhi Chhabra in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, would have been blissfully married by now. However, one can’t plan life and Pavitra’s life is proof.

The actress, who gained immense popularity courtesy her ‘evil deeds’ in Yeh Hai... announced her marriage to businessman Sumit Maheshwari in March last year.

She had said, “I met him in Amby Valley through a common friend, where I had gone for Reiki. I absolutely loved the place and fell in love with him there.”

Soon after the announcement reports of her quitting the show began doing the rounds. While some suggested that Pavitra wasn’t happy with the way her character is shaping up and thus wanted to leave, others said that she was quitting the show owing to her marriage.

However, SpotboyE.com can tell you that the marriage did not take place for reasons best known to her. And now, Pavitra is all set to return to the popular drama.

Needless to say, the show will see another dramatic twist to re-introduce her character to the viewers. You may recall that Dr Nidhi was sent to jail in order to cease her role.

So is her track a considerable one? Says a source close to the development, “She wouldn’t come for a single episode. Ekta Kapoor (the producer) will ensure that not only is the continuity of the track maintained, but also her character adds something concrete to the show.”

What about her wedding plans? “Jabb shaadi hogi tabb dekhenge. Filhaal to nahin ho rahi hai,” he adds.  

Well... so let’s say, Pavitra’s marriage is postponed.
