In an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, Vijayendra said, "I was very happy and keen on doing a role like this. I like to do things which are challenging. On television, not many people have played a character like this. And I don't know why people were reluctant to take such a role because these are career defining roles according to me. As an actor, it's a treat to do something like this because you easily don't get opportunities to do such roles." The actor also revealed the kind of preparations he did to get into the character, "I have seen a lot of classic movies like Sparsh, Scent Of A Woman and then many other films where the protagonist has been visually impaired. But I have just tried to pick up the body language and I have not tried to copy anyone. Another thing is I have done a lot of research on visually impaired people on the Internet to get into the skin of that character."
"I am receiving very good reactions by those who have seen the promos. They are finding it different from the content we have on television," he concluded
