Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will be going through a drastic change in the coming weeks. The makers are all set to introduce the new generation of the show, after they wrap up Ayesha Singh’s Sai and Neil Bhatt’s Virat’s love story. If reports are to be believed their story will end tragically as they will die at the hands of the terrorists while trying to save everyone on the plan. Post the generational leap, most of the cast members will be changed. After reports of the leads, Harshad Arora and Sneha Bhawsar quitting the show made headlines, Vihan Verma too had bid his adieu.

Vihan, who essays the role of Mohit Chavan, Virat’s younger cousin in the show, left a lasting impact on the audience with his performance. In a recent interview with an entertainment portal spoke about his decision to quit the show. He revealed that being a 23-year-old, he is not ready to age on-screen. He said, “I was unsure about continuing after the time leap because my character would have turned 50. He shared how his character ageing in the previous leap had also felt very weird, however he eventually adjusted to it. He expressed how he would be uncomfortable playing a man in his 50s, while being in his early 20s. The actor revealed that he was grateful that the makers understood his apprehension, as the show will now focus on new characters. He concluded his interview by mentioning that he does not believe in taking breaks and if he is offered something new, he will be back to entertain his fans. After the generational leap, the show will focus on the lives of Sai and Virat’s kids Vinayak and Savi. It is being reported that Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma have been roped in to play the new leads of the show. Earlier, the makers of the show had issued a statement on their decision to take the generational leap. They had stated that the original plot of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, which was adapted by the Bengali show Kusum Dola, was exhausted and they want to focus on the new generation and a new plot line.
