Uorfi Javed RECALLS Falling Unconscious After Continuously Filming A TV Show For 50 Hours: I Just Could Not Take It
Uorfi Javed, known for her bold fashion choices and strong social media presence, is set to star in the much-anticipated reality show Follow Karlo Yaar, which will soon stream on Amazon Prime. As part of the show's promotion, Uorfi has been candid about her tumultuous journey in the television industry, shedding light on the challenges and setbacks she has faced over the years. In an interview with Filmy Gyaan, she shared how, during a particularly difficult phase in her career, she was frequently replaced from shows or found herself on sets of shows that were abruptly canceled. Reflecting on these struggles, Uorfi expressed her frustration and confusion during those times. "Haan matlab pata nahi kya nasur padi hui thi us time pe, jis bhi show mein jaati, 3-4 mahine mein replace ho jati, ya wo show hi bandh hojata," she said, highlighting the constant instability in her career. She pointed out the irony of being selected for a role after numerous auditions, only to be replaced later for reasons she couldn't comprehend. Uorfi hinted at the internal politics that often plague the entertainment industry, making it clear that her acting abilities were not the issue. One particularly troubling experience Uorfi recounted was when she was asked to give a 20 percent cut of her pay to someone at the channel while working on a show. When she refused, she was subjected to repeated retakes and eventually told that she was not performing well enough, leading to her replacement. This incident opened her eyes to the fact that her rejection had nothing to do with her talent but was instead rooted in corruption and exploitation within the industry.

Uorfi also recalled her time working on the Star Plus show Meri Durga, where she shared the screen with Shrishti Jain and Paras Kalnawat. She described the grueling work conditions, revealing that the cast often had to shoot for extended periods without adequate rest. Uorfi recounted a particularly harrowing experience when she shot for 50 hours straight, with barely any sleep, leading to her collapsing on set. "I think, subha ke 5 baje shoot chal raha tha aur main behosh hogayi thi," she said, describing how she fainted due to exhaustion, marking the first time she had ever fainted in her life.

This experience left a lasting impact on her, and she now ensures that her contracts specify a maximum of 10-12 hours of shooting per day. Uorfi's insistence on this clause reflects her commitment to self-care and her determination to avoid the kind of exploitation she endured earlier in her career.

Follow Karlo Yaar, Uorfi's upcoming reality show, has already drawn comparisons to the popular American series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which streams on Netflix. Like the Kardashian show, Follow Karlo Yaar promises to give viewers an intimate look into Uorfi's life, showcasing different aspects of her journey, both personal and professional. As Uorfi continues to navigate the entertainment industry, her story of resilience and perseverance serves as an inspiration to many, and her new show is poised to further cement her status as a prominent figure in the world of entertainment.
