TV Producer Sandiip Sikcand To Newcomers: 'Do Not Come To Mumbai'- EXCLUSIVE
TV producer Sandiip Sikcand speaks to us about how struggling actors should put a pause on their plans of coming to Mumbai currently, and stay with their families
Actor, director Sandiip Sikcand is one of the few who prefers calling spade, a spade and has been very verbal about his opinions. In the current scheme of things as India is almost crippled battling the second wave of the virus, Sandiip has a hard hitting message for every new comer.
Currently, producing the Hindi remake of his own Telugu hit show Gorintaku, Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali which has two fresh faces as the main protagonist, Sandiip shares, 'As much as I love introducing and working with new faces, I have one advice for every new comer and that is, this is not the time to be bold and swanky. This is the time to use your social media wisely, correctly and sensibly. It is not the time to come to Mumbai to look for new opportunities, it is the time to be together with your family and look after each other's safety. Just take a pause, step back a little and reanalyze and then take all the decisions you have to take.' Even the entertainment industry alike had to face the wrath of the virus and statewide stringent lockdown in Maharashtra. Sandiip, who was shooting in Kolhapur to cut production costs, had to quickly move the entire cast and crew to Hyderabad to keep the show going. However, like most of us, Sandiip too has his worries about the lockdown being extended, as he shares, "I often worry about the livelihood of daily wage earners, how would they survive?! I'm at least happy that in the least way that I can, I'm able to help a handful of them working on my current show."
