Kritika rose to fame with Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009) and her pairing with Karan Kundra became very popular and off-screen too, the pair hit it off.
Post the show, the actress did a few shows which didn’t take off quite well. But she made a comeback of sorts with Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, where she was paired opposite Mohnish Bahl. The show was much talked about for the offbeat pair.
Later, she did a couple of fiction and reality shows like MTV Webbed 2, V The Serial, Ek Thhi Naayka and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa- but things didn't seem to be going too well for her.
While Kritika has bagged this big show on LIfe OK in the lead role, incidentally Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Sinha were at loggerheads with the project and it is Nikhil who finalised Kritika who is Ekta’s find.

Kritika will be seen in the costume drama which will be aired on Life OK. Recently, Kritika cleared the alleged fallout with her mentor Ekta and told a section of the media: “I had no clue about two producers working on the same subject. I realised it only when I saw both the teasers on the internet. Ekta has given me memorable shows and I am still remembered as Arohi from Kitani Mohabbat Hai. The rivalry could be between the channels or the production houses, but not between Ekta and me.”
