Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh left his fans worried when he disappeared earlier this year. Months after his return to Delhi and clarifying that he was away on a religious outing, without telling anyone, he came back to Mumbai. Spotted at the airport he interacted with the paparazzi and opened up about paying off his debt. He also revealed if he plans on rejoining Asit Kumarr Modi’s show or not. Having made a name for himself in the Indian television industry with his versatile performances, fans breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Singh has returned to Mumbai with his pet dog.
In a video shared by Viral Bhayani on Instagram, on Saturday evening, Gurucharan looked extremely happy returning to Mumbai. While he refused to comment on his sudden disappearance, he did share an update on his debts and if he will be returning to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. When the paparazzi asked him if he cleared all his dues, quoted by News18, he stated, “Haan ji, sabka kar diye almost. Almost. Kuch ka mujhe nahi pata hai, woh mujhe puchna padega (Yes, they have cleared almost everyone’s payment. I don’t know about some, that I’ll have to ask).”
For those who don’t know, it was heavily speculated that Singh had left the show due to the makers delaying his payment. He is yet to officially clarify the speculation. When asked about his return to the show, which has been running for over a decade now, he said, “God knows. Rab jane. Mujhe kuch nahi pata hain. Jayse hi pata chalega, aapko bataunga (God knows, I don’t know anything. As soon as I get to know, I will tell you guys).”
Having gone missing on April 22, 2024, the Delhi Police conducted an extensive search for the actor after his father filed an FIR for him. Gurucharan Singh returned home to Delhi on May 18. During his interrogation, it was revealed that he had left home to go on a religious journey. As per the officials he had visited Gurudwaras in many cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana.
