TMKOC Producer Asit Kumarr Modi Lashes Out At Shailesh Lodha For Filling A Case Over Unpaid Dues; Says, ‘Ek Dinn Jhagda Hota Hai Aur Woh Bura Ho Jaata Hai’
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running television shows in India. For over 15 years, the makers of the serial have entertained the audience with his wacky and quirky storylines. The show often makes it to the headlines for various reasons, one of them being Shailesh Lodha. The actor who essayed the titular role, left the show without any prior notice and has been making claims about his unpaid dues for weeks now. He even went as far as to sue producer Asit Kumarr Modi.

Now in a recent interaction with a media publication, Modi has opened up about the case and expressed his sadness over Lodha’s behaviour. While talking to ETimes, the producer pointed out, “Shaileshji spoke about his atma sammaan, toh bhai hamaara bhi toh atma sammaan hai.” He went on to share that the poet targeting him with his poems and couplets will not befit him. The producer went on to explain how he took on the risk of entrusting their poet to play the character even when he was not an actor. Quoted by Koimoi, he said, “I took the risk of entrusting him with the responsibility of playing the title role even though he wasn’t an actor aur ek dinn jhagda hota hai aur woh aadmi bura ho jaata hai. Taarak Mehta se koi bhi jaata hai mujhe dukh hota hai because the unit is dear to me.” ALSO READ: TMKOC Producer Asit Kumarr Modi Reveals He Is ‘Tired Of Answering’ If Disha Vakani Will Be Back As Dayaben; Says, ‘She Wants To Be With Her Family’

During his interview, Modi went on to assert how they had given Shailesh options to leave after serving his three-months notice, however, he refused to not only sign all the necessary documents but also have a meeting with the makers. Talking about the case filed against them the producer explained, “We have a record of emails and text messages sent to him. How are so many people working on the show for the past 15 years if their dues are not cleared on time? Strangely, jab tak aap show ka hissa hain tab tak sab achha aur jaise hi chhod dete hain toh sab bure. I fail to understand this attitude.”

Talking about the show, over the years a lot of actors have been replaced and re-casted. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently the longest running comedy show on Indian television.
