TMKOC: Ghanshyam Nayak Aka Nattu Kaka Goes On Medical Leave, Hospitalized For Surgery
Actor Ghanshyam Nayak who plays Nattu Kaka on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been reported to be hospitalized for surgery
Popular as Nattu kaka of most loved TV Sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Ghanshyam Nayak will not be seen on the show for some time. As per reports in Times of India, the actor will be undergoing a surgery, after he was detected with a lump in his neck which resulted into the actor feeling uneasy. Hence, the actor will only shoot after he recuperates after the surgery as per doctor’s advice. The actor also did not resume the shoot as he is aged above 65 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A source close to the publication said, “A few days ago, Ghanshyam sir was detected with a lump in his neck, and the doctor advised surgery. He will recuperate soon and return back to the show. Nattu kaka is one of the interesting characters in the show and people love watching him. He is a senior actor and masses enjoy his comic timing. Nattu Kaka had also expressed his wish to continue working when the government barred 65 years of age from visiting sets.”
The actor has been associated with the show for more than a decade now and the production house extended their support towards him. “The production house has extended their support to the senior actor, but it will be some time before he returns to the show. Here's wishing the actor a speedy recovery,” the source added.
After TV and Film Industry resumed shoots in the month of July 2020, the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah also resumed the shoot following the safety measure led by Maharashtra government.
