Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as the original Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma," recently made headlines following his mysterious disappearance in April. After being untraceable for 25 days, Singh resurfaced and revealed that he had embarked on a solitary spiritual journey. Upon his return to Mumbai, he opened up to the media about the struggles he has been facing over the past few years. In a candid interview with Siddharth Kanan, Singh disclosed the harsh realities of his life post-disappearance. The actor revealed that he is currently dealing with severe financial difficulties, including a debt of ₹1.2 crores. Despite his efforts to find work, he has been unable to secure any roles since his return to Mumbai, which has further exacerbated his financial woes. Singh expressed his desperation to get back to work, not only to manage his expenses but also to take care of his elderly mother and repay his mounting debts. He mentioned that, although there are kind people who have lent him money, his debt continues to accumulate, making his situation increasingly precarious. Singh also shared that he has been surviving on a liquid diet, consisting mainly of milk, tea, and coconut water, for the past 34 days. This extreme diet, he explained, is a reflection of the immense stress and exhaustion he has been experiencing. Over the last four years, Singh has faced numerous setbacks, with every new venture or business attempt ending in failure. His frustration and fatigue are palpable as he expressed his desire for a fresh start and some financial stability.
