Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Claims Top Spot In Yahoo’s Most Searched Show Of 2020; Beats Bigg Boss And Ali Fazal Starrer Mirzapur
Yahoo recently released its list of most searched films and TV shows of 2020, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah emerged on top of the list, thereby defeating the likes of Bigg Boss, Mirzapur and other shows
Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, as people mostly stayed confined to their homes, there had been a surge in the use of Internet. Yahoo recently released a list of the most searched television shows and movies this year, and the popular television sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah claimed the first spot on the list, thereby leaving behind other popular shows such as Bigg Boss, and the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur, starring Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is often ruling the TRP charts, and amid Coronavirus lockdown, the show saw various obstacles such as character replacements, cast and crew members contracting COVID-19 and much more. Despite of all this, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continued to make people laugh, and topped Yahoo’s list of most searched TV shows and films. TMKOC was followed by the mythological epic Mahabharat, which claimed the second spot, while Ramayan was at the number four spot.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara, also starring Sanjana Sanghi, came third on the list, while Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3 came in at six.

Bigg Boss, which is considered among the most popular reality shows, was on number 7 in the list. The current season, that is Bigg Boss 14, is being hosted by Salman Khan, and has some popular faces such as Rubina Dilaik, Jasmin Bhasin, Kavita Kaushik, Eijaz Khan, among others. Amazon’s series Mirzapur claimed the 10th spot on the list. The second season of Mirzapur was highly anticipated, and it released in October this year.
