Shivin Narang: "TikTok Videos And Excessive Social Media Posts Don't Make You A Good Actor"
Actor Shivin Narang who was last seen on the show Internet Wala Love isn’t very active on social media and prefers it that way. Talking to SpotboyE.com exclusively, Shivin revealed his reasons for staying away from the platform. The actor said, "I will be honest. I was very active on Facebook and then Instagram came. Initially, I used to post but was not very active. And in no time it turned out to be extremely popular and big. In fact nowadays, it is like an addiction to people who want to post each and everything they do. But that is not my personality. There is a new thing which I have discovered recently that in today’s date if you have some set of following there, you will get work which is not only stuck to brand endorsements but these days casting has also become dependent on that.

But as an actor I really don't appreciate this at all because this is not going to sustain in the long run. Like if you have good looks it can be your ID card but you can't go a long way if you don't know how to act. Same way they can count followers but at the end of the day, your work will be appreciated. So if any of my fans is hearing me out, do as much Instagram and Tiktok you want to do but don't think just because of that you will become an actor. You can get famous but as an actor it will not help you much. And hence I don't like to be very much active there. People who know me and know my work will definitely come to me for work. I really don't want people to judge me by my Instagram.”

He also added, “This medium is like a pressure as whole day you see people posting their activities right from their food, travel, shopping everything. And I can't take that much pressure honestly".

Earlier, actor Vikrant Massey who is gearing up for his next film Chhapaak with Deepika Padukone also had stated that he isn’t very fond of the medium. He had said that his “primary job is that of an actor” and he would like to work with those who trust him with his craft instead of looking at the number of followers he has on Instagram or Twitter.

Coming back to Shivin Narang’s work life, he was last seen in Internet Wala Love opposite Tunisha Sharma, but the show ended in March this year. The actors had also made headlines for their alleged fallout and their former co-star Kanwar Dhillon was held responsible for it.
