Shark Tank India: When Ashneer Grover Poked Fun At Bald Contestant And Said He Reminded Him Of Villain Shakaal From Amitabh Bachchan's Shaan
Shark Tank India's judge Ashneer Grover, who recently resigned from BharatPe after his wife got fired from the company, has been the centre of attraction on social media, thanks to his viral memes. Besides his impressive ideas, during his stint on the show he grabbed headlines for his honest opinions and sharp remarks on the contestants who pitched their business ideas to him on the reality show. Amongst them who faced Ashneer’s quirky sense of humour was Sanandhan Sudhir, who had come to pitch his product On2cook.

While giving his feedback, Ashneer cracked a joke on him and said 'bald Sanandhan reminded him of the iconic villain Shakaal from Amitabh Bachchan's 1980 blockbuster film Shaan. This left the contestant in splits and confused. Back then, during the episode, Sanandhan tried all possible means to convince the judges to invest in his product.  Before announcing his decision, Ashneer told him that he reminded him of Shakaal, which was played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda in the film. Sanandhan, however, did not lose his calm as he told Ashneer that it was a nice joke. He left the show with no deal.

Meanwhile, Ashneer recently stated that he was regretful about not investing in Rohit Warrier's Sippline Drinking Shields aka 'glass ka mask'. He had called it a 'wahiyat' product. Talking about him resigning from BharatPe's managing director position, Ashneer Grover resigned days after his wife Madhuri Jain Grover, who was head of controls of the company, got fired. Explaining the reason behind his resignation, Ashneer told Money Control, "I am very clear, I will be a private person. Not here to lead my life as per the media, not going to be a slave to these investors again in my life. Will lead life on my own terms. I am now looking up to people like Turakhias (Bhavin) and Kamath (Nitin) who have the courage to build businesses with 100% ownership. It will take a bit longer to build, I will be in control of what I build and not build it for these people who are opportunistic.”
