Speak of the reality shows, which left a huge impact on the viewers, and the list will be incomplete without mentioning Shark Tank India. The business show, which premiered on 20 December 2021, showed entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of investors or sharks, who decide whether to invest in their company. or not. The first season was quite successful and fans are now eagerly waiting for its second season. During its run on television, the show witnessed many memorable moments and amongst them is when a contestant reminded judge Namita Thapar of ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty. 

 Back then, a contestant named Sairaj Gaurish Dhond who is founder and CEO of Wakao Foods reminded Namita of Rohit Shetty, courtesy, his interesting pitch. He shared with the sharks his pitch of food created by Jackfruit. He told them that he wanted to take jackfruit to all corners of the world in order to grow his brand internationally. 

At the end of the pitch, Sairaj wowed the Sharks and managed to grab a deal for himself. MamaEarth’s Chief Mama Ghazal Alagh, Sugar Cosmetics CEO Vineeta Singh and Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Namita Thapar had offered him Rs. 75 lakhs for 30% Equity. Not just them, the CEO of Lenskart Peyush Bansal was also interested to invest Rs. 15 lakhs for 5% Equity along with Rs. 60 lakhs debt at 12% interest. Sairaj Gaurish Dhond got the deal with Rs. 75 lakhs for 21% Equity. To note, Rohit Shetty is one of the most popular and successful directors in Bollywood. He is known for his blockbuster movies such as Simmba, Singham and Golmaal franchise to name a few. Coming back to the show, the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank, the show received 62,000 aspirants from India and concluded on 4 February 2022. Even when the show is over, it continues to make headlines.
