Shark Tank India had a successful innings of two seasons and now, the much-loved business reality show is returning with its third season. The old panel of judges, including Vinita Singh, Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal will be joined by the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms, Ritesh Agarwal.

Ritesh Agarwal is an Indian entrepreneur, who will be joining the popular show, Shark Tank India, making him the youngest ‘Shark’ on the panel. Born in a Marwari family in Bissam Cuttack, Odisha, Ritesh Agarwal is known to be one of the youngest billionaires in India. Having been brought up in Titilagarh in a family that used to run a small shop, Ritesh pursued schooling at Sacred Heart School, and at the mere age of 13, he started selling SIM cards. He graduated from St. Johns Senior Secondary School, in Kota, Rajasthan and moved to Delhi in 2011 for college. 

Ritesh started a budget accommodation portal, Oravel Stays, which was accepted by Venture Nursery in September 2012. However, the entrepreneur dropped out of college and managed to get selected for the Thiel Fellowship in 2013. This turned out to be the turning point in his life, as he received a grant of USD 100,000. Thus, he launched the company as OYO Rooms in May 2013. 

Fast forward to today, the hospitality chain is one of the biggest ones in the country.

As per the Hurun Rich List 2020, Ritesh's net worth is approximately USD 1.1 billion, which upon converting to Indian currency, is Rs. 7253 crores. Ritesh Agarwal was also featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Asia. In June 2022, Ritesh was recognised by the International Hospitality Institute on the Global 100 in Hospitality.
