Shantanu and Salman Beaten, Teriya Magar Wins Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9

The grand finale of dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, which airs tomorrow, is going to be a grand affair with superlative dancers such as Shantanu Maheshwari, Salman Yusuff Khan and Teriya Magar competing for the trophy. However, before you witness the drama unfold on-screen, let us tell you that Nepali teenager Teriya Magar has been named the winner of the show.

Teriya has won Dance India Dance before and came up with spectacular performances the last few weeks. The decision will come as a huge surprise for Shantanu’s fans since he was clearly the crowd’s favourite. Teriya was a wild card entrant and joined the show along with Swasti Nitya, Spandan Chaturvedi and Gracy Goswami.

We also hear that Salman is the first runner-up and Shantanu the second. The winner was adjudged by Farah Khan, Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Teriya, is a student of St Lawrence High School, Vashi and has won numerous awards. The power-packed performer won Dance India Dance Li’l Masters in 2014. She is a good student and aims to become a versatile dancer.

In the past, a number of celebs including Mona Singh, Prachi Desai, Baichung Bhutia, Meiyang Chang, Gurmeet Choudhary, Drashti Dhami, Ashish Sharma and Faisal Khan have won Jhalak trophies.

We are sure that the 3 contestants this year set the stage on fire. After all, all 3 have been part of big finales before. Salman has won Dance India Dance Season 1 in the past and is a professional choreographer. Shantanu, on the other hand, was part of the Desi Hoppers dance crew that emerged as winners in the World of Dance 2015 Championship in Los Angeles. In 2015, he gave a special performance on America's Got Talent (Season 11).
