Shaleen Bhanot Is ‘Proud Of The Way Dalljiet Kaur Is Raising Their Son’; Also Speaks On Actress’ Eviction From Bigg Boss 13- EXCLUSIVE
Dalljiet Kaur was the first contestant to be evicted from the Bigg Boss 13 house. The actress made it very clear that she won’t be playing the single mother card for sympathy inside the house. We got in touch with her ex-husband, Shaleen Bhanot to know what he feels about Dalljiet’s early eviction and more
Dalljiet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot have had an elaborate past. From suffering domestic violence for 5 years to filing for divorce, a lot has been written about the actress in the past. Probably, one of the main reasons she was a contestant in Bigg Boss, this year. However, Dalljiet’s journey on the show was quite short and she became the first one to get evicted from the house.
Dalljiet was very clear, before entering the show, and even when she spoke to us exclusively, yesterday, that she will never play the single mother sympathy card ever. After having an elaborate chat with the actress, we decided to ring her ex-husband, Shaleen Bhanot to know what did he think about Dalljiet’s participation, eviction and her journey on show.
Shaleen started the conversation by speaking about Dalljiet’s eviction, "I was not at all expecting that she will be the first one to come out. I was so disheartened when I got to know that she has been evicted. I remember on Friday, last week, while I was at the Gold Awards, a few journalists asked me- ‘who is your favourite contestant?’ I told them, ‘Of course Dalljiet! I have just now voted for her as she is nominations and I really want her to win.’ But unfortunately she got eliminated. I would have loved to see her come out of the house with a trophy in her hand.”
We then told Shaleen that Dalljiet was not in favour of discussing her past on the show, especially her divorce and the domestic violence case. Ask the actor if he would have minded Dalljiet speaking about any of it on the show, and he says, "Frankly, I haven’t been seeing the show at all. So, I really don't know if she has spoken about me inside or not. I just watched the launch episode because I knew that Jaydon was going to be there and Salman Khan will be introducing him on the stage. I was pretty excited for it. What could be better than Salman launching my son on-screen (laughs). Having said that, I feel our past is done and dusted. But still, if she wanted to discuss any of it, she had all the rights to do so as it involves her life as well. I have never spoken on the matter and I never will.”
And then we touched upon the topic of their son, Jaydon, who is in custody of Dalljiet. Shaleen, who is often in touch with his son, shared with us how proud he is of Dalljiet for raising their son beautifully. "Jaydon is my son and I will always be in touch with him. We can't have two set ups for a kid as small as him, so, for his betterment, Jaydon is being raised by Dalljiet alone and she is doing a fantastic job. She is a brilliant mother and he is a complete mumma's boy. I am so proud of her,” concluded Shaleen.
