Shailesh Lodha On His Friendship With TMKOC Co-star Dilp Joshi: ‘Don't Get A Chance To Speak To Each Other’
One of the longest running television shows in India, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making the headlines for the past year for all the wrong reasons. From actresses like Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Priya Ahuja Rajda and Monika Bhadoriya speaking up against the toxic work environment, to Shailesh Lodha leaving the show and even winning a lawsuit against the makers for his pending dues, the serial has gone through a lot. In the midst of it all, the actor who played the titular character Taarak Mehta has now opened up about his real-life bond with his co-star Dilip Joshi.

For the unversed, Joshi plays the role of Jethalal Gada in the show who is best friends with Taarak Mehta. In a recent interview with Lallantop, Lodha opened up about his friendship with his reel-life best friend and shared that they hardly ever meet up as they are too busy in their lives working. However, when they do get the chance it will be like they never separated. To express his displeasure, a day before the episode was aired, the producer had called him and spoke in a language that “was not civil, leaving me infuriated.”

Talking about the show, over the years a lot of actors have been replaced and re-casted. Having entertained the audiences for 15 years now, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently the longest running comedy show on Indian television.
