Ever since the Government amended Citizenship Amendment Bill, the nation is in a state of chaos. On one side the students of Jamia Millia Islamia university are fighting for their rights, on the other hand, Delhi Police turned into a brutal route. In fact, disturbing visuals of students getting beaten up by the police and damaging of public properties are all over the internet. Many Bollywood celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Riteish Deshmukh, Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana, Dia Mirza, Pooja Bhatt and others have stood in solidarity and expressed their rage over the tragedy through their social media handles.

Not only Bollywood celebs are affected by this tragic incident, 2012 actor John Cusack too shared a terrifying video on his social media handle to make everyone aware of the situation. Another celeb to add to the list is Savdhaan India actor Sushant Singh. The actor who has been hosting Savdhaan India since 2011 has recently announced his exit from the long-running TV show. He took to his Twitter account and shared this news for his fans and followers stating that he will be ending his stint and the reason behind this is the Jamia Milia protest. His tweet read, “And, my stint with Savdhaan India has ended.” He has been a part of protest ever since the debate began. One activist even took to his handle and shared a picture of Sushant who is seen with the protestors. He wrote, “Good to see @sushant_says come out in support. Also, the protesting students kept the focus on #CAA and police excesses in #Jamia and #AMU. A speaker trying to make it Cong vs BJP was asked not to venture there.”

However, as the nation is divided into two, Twitter also saw a division. Bollywood stars got bashed for keeping their mum on the issue and on the other side, #ShameOnBollywood trended on social media targetting those celebs who are overlooking their actions.
