Renowned television actor Rituraj K Singh has left for his heavenly abode. The actor, who essayed various roles on small screens, passes away at the age of 59. According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, he breathed his last on Monday night, February 19, after suffering a cardiac arrest. The news of his passing has left the television industry and the audience heartbroken. Many have taken to social media to express their shock and convey their condolences towards his grieving family. 

Quoting an ETimes TV report, the entertainment portal reported that Singh was recently hospitalised as he was undergoing treatment for pancreatic disease. Confirming the news of his death, the late actor’s good friend, Amit Behl spoke to the media publication. He was quoted saying, “Yes he passed away due to cardiac arrest.” As per the report, he was admitted to the hospital a while back for the treatment of his pancreas. However, once he returned home, he faced cardiac complications and passed away.


On the work front, Rituraj K Singh was last seen essaying the role of Yashpal, a strict restaurant owner/cook, in Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa. He was replaced by Vaquar Shaikh, who plays the role of Yashpal’s younger brother Yashdeep. Having established himself as a versatile actor, he has been a part of many Bollywood movies, web shows, and television serials like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhay 3 and Never Kiss Your Best Friend among many others. 

Recalling his entire journey in the entertainment industry, he had told the Hindustan Times, “I started with a children’s theatre group when I was 12 years old and at 17, I joined profession group of Barry John. I did theatre with him for 12 years, thereafter two English films, and in 1993, I did my first TV show and kept doing for 25 years. Now, it’s all about films and digital space.”
