Ridhima Pandit Aspires To Make Her Bollywood Debut With THIS Filmmaker!- EXCLUSIVE
Actresses like Mouni Roy, Radhika Madan, Mrunal Thakur, Ankita Lokhande have made the transition from small screen to Bollywood. Recently, we even heard that Asha Negi is going to be seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Life In A…Metro sequel.

So we thought this is the right time to ask Ridhima Pandit about her Bollywood aspirations. The actress who became extremely popular thanks to her character of Rajni on the show, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant is currently seen on the superhero drama, Haiwaan: The Monster.

When we asked Ridhima if she too dreams of working in a Bollywood film, the actress replied, "It is very difficult to get films because the same people are being repeated again and again. The new talent barely gets any time. However, things are changing now as many TV actresses are doing so well. Like, I was reading Asha Negi is doing a film with Abhishek Bachchan and I feel so proud. I know her personally and this news makes me happy. But I also can't deny the fact that we are typecast at times. And to them I want to say, we TV actors are the most hardworking breed you will ever see. Like in 90's, actresses used to say we had double shoots. We are doing it regularly here; spending 12 hours on set excluding travel time and keeping ourselves fit. We read our scripts in 5 minutes and perform like a pro. So we are not less than anyone.”

Next, we asked which filmmaker is on her wishlist and pat came the answer, "Who wouldn't want to work with Karan Johar? I have grown up on Karan Johar movies which are great masala potboilers and they also have family values. Plus, his films allow you to look glossy and yes, that candy floss feel and college romance. Also, he makes movies like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna which has so much of reality. That movie was way ahead of its time. It’s happening today which he has showed back then behind closed doors. And you know what! Every actor wants to work with Karan and if they say no, they are lying (laughs).

Next, she spoke about the show Haiwan : The Monster and what made her say yes to it. "I got a call from Ekta Kapoor's team for this show and I immediately said yes. They told me that I have to play the character of an IAS officer and I got extremely excited. Also if Ekta has considered you for something and you say no, then it’s your loss because she has a vision on everything. And you know what! Within a week I got locked for this character,” says Ridhima.
