Reem Shaikh-Sehban Azim’s SPECIAL Raabta: Duo Talks About Their Off-Screen Equation

Popularly known by their fans as Kalma, Zee TV’s popular on-screen couple Kalyani (Reem Shaikh) and Malhar (Sehban Azim) have been receiving accolades for their performance and on-screen chemistry in Tujhse Hai Raabta. Well, what many aren’t aware of is the fact that the two actors share a great camaraderie and friendship off-screen as well.

The two actors often spend their break time playing pranks and teaching the other something new! They are complete opposites, but thoroughly enjoy indulging in fun banter. Sehban often turns photographer for his dear friend on the sets as he is passionate about photography on days when he is not playing a driving teacher to Reem who is hoping to start driving her own car . On the other hand, Reem has taken it upon herself to compel Sehban to resort to eating healthy and consuming green tea all through the day.

They bond with other actors as well and are always spreading some fun and cheer on the sets. By now, they must have had innumerable memories and fun moments with each other and we cannot help being impressed with their chemistry.

Commenting on their friendship, Sehban said, “It's going to  be a year now of knowing Reem, we started shooting together for our show "Tujhse hai raabta" in August last year and since then it's been almost a daily shoot...it seems like a journey already with a pool of memories to share including meeting her for the first time and becoming best of friends and knowing and sharing almost everything with each other now. She's a wonderful girl filled with  positivity and a never say die attitude. She is also very eager to learn and hungry for knowledge. The best part is that she often does silly things and then she admits to these and makes fun of it herself. Probably that is one thing that made our friendship  grow stronger with time. Though in the show I'm mostly angry with her, arguing or doubting her but in real life I'm actually fond of her. It often becomes challenging for us to shoot when we are fighting or romancing on-screen because we end up laughing in between takes most of the times. This show has given me real "raabta" with a lot of people within a year and Reem is definitely one of those I cherish. I would like to wish her Happy Friendship day and will celebrate the occasion with her and the entire cast of Tujhse Hai Raabta”

Reem said, “Sehban is someone really important to me. In the beginning I never really thought we would bond so well. But now he is someone I can trust and I love talking to him because somewhere down the line I realised, our thinking is very similar. We always have a lot to talk about and discuss. He always explains things to me when I’m confused and helps me understand things better. Sehban  supports me when I’m right and corrects me when I am wrong. He always wants me to read and keeps sharing interesting stuff with me for my good. It feels really nice to have someone who stands by you, supports you and most importantly handles you really well. Sehban is extremely helpful and humble and I love that quality about him. He is one of my closest friends on-set and I am glad audiences enjoy watching us as Kalma on-screen. We have a very comfortable and good bond off the camera which adds to our chemistry on-screen. I am genuinely lucky to have found a good friend and co-star in him. This friendships day, I am looking forward to tying Sehban and my entire team of Raabta friendship bands and cherish what we all share.’’

Kudos to Reem and Sehban for their amazing friendship and we hope their Raabta lasts forever!
