When old shows are being re-telecast, we spoke to actors from popular shows on Dangal TV about the iconic characters that they would love to essay on screen
In times where most GEC’s are bringing back retro shows, we at SpotboyE went ahead and asked actors from popular shows on Dangal TV - Which is that one iconic character (television show) from yesteryear which you would have loved to play and why?
Rati Pandey from Devi Aadi Parashakti:
I would love to play the character of Kajal Bhai from Hum Paanch. I used to watch this show in my childhood and remember imitating Kajal bhai. Also, sometimes Sweety’s character while opening the door. I love both the roles because of the attitude they carried and being a kid, Sweety’s character used to inspire me with her bindaas attitude.
Tarun Khanna from Devi Aadi Parashakti:
I would have loved to play not one but two iconic characters-Shaktiman & Byomkesh Bakshi. One is a superhero and the other is a super brain. It would have been great fun to essay those roles.
Ankit Arora from Alif Laila:
I would love to play the iconic character of Lord Krishna. Ever since I was a child, I have been donning Krishna's character especially during Janmashtami. I adore his character for being a good friend, brother and a husband.
Madhura Naik from Alif Laila:
I would love to replay my character of Tanushree popularly known as T, from Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani. The character became popular as a fashion icon and since I own a clothing label and love dressing up, I would love to play the role again.
Aparna Dixit from Pyaar Ki Luka Chhupi:
There was a show called “Shararat - Thoda Jaadu, Thodi Nazaakat” and I used to love that show. I would love to play the role of “Jia”, played by Shruti Seth. It was a fun, bubbly character that was a pleasure to watch on screen!
