Actress and reality show star Poonam Pandey breathed her last at the age of 32 due to cervical cancer. As per multiple media reports, she passed away in her hometown Kapur in Uttar Pradesh. As netizens are still reeling from the news of her untimely demise, her friends and acquaintances from the entertainment industry have taken to their official social media handles to express their shock and condolences to her family.

In a conversation with Bollywood Life, Arshi Khan expressed her shock at the heartbreaking news. Recalling how they had met only a month ago during an event, she revealed that despite not talking to each other, Poonam looked “in the best of health.” She added, “Cervical cancer can be very dangerous and spreads easily. It is hard to believe this piece of news. Poonam looked absolutely fit. From Karanvir Bohra, Alyy Goni, Pooja Bhatt to even Munawar Faruqui fans took to their social media handles to share their condolences. Daisy Shah wrote, “Shocked and saddened by the news of Poonam Pandey's demise. May her soul find tranquility, and may her loved ones find strength🙏🏼 Gone too soon.”

The netizens were skeptical of the news being a marketing gimmick, as a day prior to the actress’ death the Government had announced free vaccines for women to combat the HPV virus. Confirming the news, her team told News18 that she breathed her last on Thursday night. Her manager Nikita Sharma, in a statement to the press, stated, “Poonam Pandey was not only a luminary in the film industry, but she was also a beacon of strength and resilience. Her unwavering spirit amidst her health struggles was truly remarkable.”
