Bollywood actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt recently made the headlines when she opened up about her battling alcoholism. Having impressed the audiences with her versatile performances over the years, she is currently participating in the second season of Bigg Boss OTT. She has been opening up about her personal life and sharing unknown facts just like her co-contestants. In an interaction with Bebika Dhurve, she spoke about her failed marriage with VJ Manish Makhija and why she never wanted kids.
In the latest episode of Salman Khan’s reality show, she shared that she had been married for almost 11 years. However she and her husband decided that “something is not right so why live a lie?” She went on to explain how in life we only get one chance, which she took. For the unversed, Pooja tied the knot with Manish, a Mumbai-based restaurateur and former video jockey, in 2003 after dating for a brief period of time. When Bebika asks if her ex was also an actor, the 51-year-old actress revealed that he belonged to the media business and was a good man. She went on to add that he was a Capricorn, which is why they got along well. When the Bhagya Lakshmi actress points out that Capricorns become really good fathers, the older actress revealed she never wanted kids despite loving them. Quoted by Telly Chakkar, she added, “I didn't want to have kids and I couldn't lie. At the risk of never meeting somebody it is okay but I cannot live a lie. When we lie, the blame game starts and I didn't want that. Whatever it was, it was good. We maintained dignity and parted ways.”
