Oh No! Insufficient Eyeballs For Jennifer Winget, Kushal Tandon’s Beyhadh
Sony’s latest outing, Beyhadh, has got off to a dismal start. The show, which premiered on October 11, registered a viewership (in impressions) of just over 14 lakh
It’s bad news
for Sony, which for the past few months has been riding high on the success of
its shows such as Super Dancer, The Kapil Sharma Show and CID among others.
For, its latest outing, Beyhadh, which stars Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon
has opened on a disappointing note. The show premiered on October 11 and
registered a viewership (in impressions) of just over 14 lakh. Yes, that low!
The scenario remained the same over the next 3 days and the viewership stayed
in the range of 15-18 lakh.
Says a source,
“We thought that Jennifer Winget’s comeback show will definitely grab eyeballs
and hit the right notes. However, that didn’t happen despite the refreshing
content. We hope the show picks up.”

It wouldn’t be
incorrect to say that Jennifer Winget has high expectations from the show
as she is making a comeback to television after a hiatus of 2 years.
She took a sabbatical post Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra.
Beyhadh is a
romantic thriller and chronicles the lives of Maya (Jennifer Winget), Arjun
(Kushal Tandon) and Saanjh (Aneri Vajani). While Arjun and Saanjh live a
rather simple life, Maya has had a troubled childhood and thus steers clear of
relationships and lives a guarded life. The ongoing track has Maya warming up
to Arjun, who works for her.
It’s early days
alright, but isn’t well begun half done? Watch this space as well tell you how
the show fared in its second week.
