Nach Baliye Fame Legless Dancer Vinod Thakur Collapses, Admitted To ICU

wheelchair-bound Dancer Vinod Thakur of Nach Baliye Season 6 and India's Got
Talent fame collapsed near Malad en route the Gateway of India, in the wee
hours of Sunday.
He was rushed to
the Raksha Hospital at Malad and admitted to the ICU in a serious condition,
according to social worker Nevada Putman whose NGO Nevada Putman Foundation is
handling Thakur's India Gate to Gateway of India wheelchair journey.
Vinod Thakur
started his journey on his wheelchair on 18 March from India Gate at Delhi covering
almost 1500 kms on wheelchair in a span of 40 days. He was
originally scheduled to reach Gateway of India in Mumbai on 30th
April.
Dr Pranav Kabra
of Raksha Hospital who attended to Thakur said he is suffering from severe
dehydration, low BP, irregular heartbeat and other medical issues due the
strain associated with the 1500 km wheelchair journey and is under treatment.
Nevada Putman
said that Thakur is likely to stay in the hospital for at least 2-3 days till
his condition stabilises.
Thakur is a
dancer, performer and stunt master and also plays wheelchair cricket. He was
attempting a Guinness World Record in association with the Nevada
Putnan Foundation of Mumbai for the longest wheelchair journey, his
spokesperson said.
