Mother’s Day 2020: Smita Bansal Says, ‘I Feel As If Siddharth Nigam Is My Son’- EXCLUSIVE
On Mother’s Day, the reel life mother-son jodi of Smita Bansal and Siddharth Nigam aka Alladin and Rukhsar who are seen on the show Aladdin- Naam Toh Suna Hoga joined us for a special interaction. And guess what! Siddharth's real life mother Vibha Nigam also was part of the discussion.

Through a video call, they spoke about their first meeting, how they support each other on sets and of course their respect for each other on and off-screen.

Talking about her first meeting with Siddharth, Smita Bansal said, "Since I knew Siddharth is active on social media and very famous on Tiktok, I asked him to teach me TikTok videos right at our first meeting.”

Siddharth mentioned, "Not just me, even my mother is a very big fan of Smita ji. When the look tests were happening for the show and the first time she came on sets, I became her fan because of her aura. The way she was smiling and gave the shot in one take, I thought to myself ‘Waah! Kya Ammi mil gayi hai’.”

Smita also said that Siddharth was one of the main reasons why she chose to play Rukhsar on the show, "I had seen him in Dhoom 2 and I was really impressed with his work in Asoka. He was so young, yet so charismatic. So, when I got to know that he will be playing my son on the show, I was clear in my mind that ‘Main iski Ammi banne ko taiyyar hoon’. He looks so positive and vulnerable that I actually get the feeling that he is my son. The kind of scenes that are written for us are rarely seen on TV these days.”

In fact, Smita told us that if she had a son in reality, she would want him to be like SIddharth, "Despite being one of the busiest actors on sets, he manages to take care of everyone in the team, not just me alone. He will arrange or chair, AC, water and that shows his concern about me clearly".

Smita added, “Vibha is blessed to have a son like Siddharth and I always say that ‘Agar mera koi beta hota toh Siddharth jaisa hi hota’."

According to Siddharth, “Sometimes, while doing a scene, our director doesn't say that we have to hug or kiss on the forehead. But, we do it naturally. Because hum mein won bonding already form ho chuki hai.”

Next, Siddharth’s real life mommy Vibha Nigam disclosed how Smita keeps praising her son and keeps complaining that ‘Aap hamesha apne dusre bête Abhishek ki taarif karti hai Siddharth ki nahin’(laughs). To which Smita responded, “Kyunki Siddharth mera beta hai, aur aapka Abhishek hai".

Added Siddharth, "Whatever equation you get to see on screen between us is all real. She keeps checking up on whether I’m okay or not, even when we are not in the scene together. And, she can gauge if and when I’m disturbed over something.”
