MNS reaches out to Radio Mirchi & Optimystix demanding TOTAL BAN on Pakistani artistes
MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) means serious business this time. Yesterday they declared that they will not allow Pakistani artistes to work in India. Now, they are putting their words into action.

SpotboyE.com has it that, today, MNS workers went to Optimystix (TV production house headed by Vipul D Shah) and had a stern word with the company's officials that they should not invite any Pakistani artiste on their shows. In fact, it was just today that Optimystix had a press conference in Powai about their Comedy Nights Bachao having been rebooted. Any creative person from Team Comedy Nights Bachao thinking of having a Pakistani artiste in the show's revamped version may now have to go and take a walk.

A little before that, MNS reached out to Radio MIrchi demanding that they cancel their scheduled interview (Sep 25) with singer Atif Aslam. The radio station's officials tried to argue with them- but to no avail. A source says some higher-ups from the political party went to the radio station personally to put their objection strongly across. "Nothing doing. No doing the Atif Aslam interview, leave aside telecasting it," they thundered.

The stand taken by the MNS is showing consequences. We hear that the stand-up comedian Raju Shrivastava has cancelled his show which was scheduled to be held in Pakistan in the near future.

Rewind. MNS Chitrapat Sena leader Ameya Khopkar had told SpotboyE.com yesterday:"Producers need to ensure that they no more cast Pakistani artistes. There is no scope for any discussion. After 48 hours, we will not let any Pakistani artistes shoot in India."
