Television actor Rahuol Lohani has been a part of the showbiz industry for a long time now. The actor who played the role of Mayank, a mentally challenged guy, in Star Plus daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The actor was also a part of the 2006 TV show Jabb Love Hua, where he played the role of Bhola, a sidekick of the main lead Raghu. Rahuol Lohani was last seen playing the negative lead in the show Mitegi Laxman Rekha on &TV. Now in a recent interview, the television actor has opened up about the casting couch prevalent in showbiz.

Rahuol Lohani, while talking to Bombay Times, said that casting couch is very common in showbiz and most actors have encountered such experiences at some point of their career. While the actor too received many offers, he said that he rejected them all as he was not looking for a shortcut. Rahuol Lohani told BT, “I always rejected these offers as I was never looking for a shortcut. I don’t believe actors when they say never faced casting couch. Actors are made to believe that they won’t get work if they don’t compromise. However, I believe that everything depends on how ambitious you are and how you want to achieve your goals. If you are overambitious, you could be prone to taking the wrong path and regret the choices you made later.”


While Rahuol Lohani has been a part of many projects and has played many versatile roles in TV shows so far, he still has not reached the stardom he aspired for. He says that he would like to change one thing about himself and become more approachable and will try to socialize more.
