Meiyang Chang, who was the cute dentist-turned-singer in Indian Idol Season 3, made his Bollywood debut with Baadmash Company. And after starring in numerous reality shows and television series, will now be seen on the digital space in a never-before-avatar.

In an upcoming web series on Voot, titled Untag, Meiyang plays the character of Nischay Barua, who is an MBA, a marathon runner, a painter and a poet – but is tagged by the society as gay. It is a 6-episode series and the story focuses on body shaming and how to accept who you are in a judgemental society.

The story revolves around the life of 6 people working in an advertising agency and every episode has a humorous take on society which tags them as #fat, #gay, #maneater, #coward, #calculative and #b**ch. While on their unique quests, the characters of the show remain fiercely in love with themselves, as they are- a trait that makes them a limited edition.

Apart from Meiyang, Untag will see Anjali Anand as the Fat, Dipanita Sharma as the Man-Eater, Shiv Pandit the Calculative, Andy as the B**ch and Naveen Polishetty as the Coward.

Meiyang was seen in films like Banerjee's Detective Byomkesh Bakshy and in the 2016 release Sultan. The singer-actor also lifted the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4 winner trophy.
