Homecook Nayanjyoti Saikia is currently over the moon as he has been receiving love and admiration from all corners after he won MasterChef India season 7. He beat Santa Sharma, and Suvarna Bagul in the finale, and took home Rs 25 lakhs as the prize money along with the coveted trophy of MasterChef India season 7 and the Golden Chef's Coat. Days after receiving a warm welcome in Assam, he has now opened up about his journey.

In an interview with Telly Chakkar, Nayanjyoti opened up about his best memory on the show and which judge Ranveer Brar, Garima Arora and Vikas Khanna, would he like to collaborate with in the future. Talking about his best memory, he shared that it would definitely be the family special episode. He went on to explain how it was an emotional time for him, meeting his father after such a long time. He went on to reveal that he would like to work with all the three judges in the future. Saikia stressed on the fact that all of them have their different styles, perceptions and judgements about food. He shared how he would like to learn a lot from them. He continued, “Chef Vikas knows how to present Indian food. Chef Garima teaches us to manipulate ingredients and bring them in a new form. Chef Ranveer can be called a Wikipedia of cooking, as he has so much knowledge. Talking about the show, the show was at the receiving end of backlash ever since they allowed Aruna Vijay to cook a fish-based dish with paneer, just because she was vegetarian. Post that episode, the audience would scrutinize every episode and call out the judges and the makers for showing blatant favouritism.
