The makers of Colors’ Ek Shringaar – Swabhiman have decided to pull the plug on the show. Manish Raisinghan tells SpotboyE.com that he is in a state of shock as his track began just yesterday
A few hours ago,
the news of Colors’ popular show Ek Shringaar – Swabhiman starring Prachi Shah
(Sharda), Sangeeta Chauhan (Meghna) and Ankitta Sharma (Naina) – going off air
sent fans into a tizzy.
In fact, it came
as a shock to the cast who reached the set to shoot as per schedule but were informed
that tomorrow will be
their last day and Swabhiman’s last episode will air on September 29.

Although the
channel has not given the stars an explanation as to why they are pulling the
plug, it is said that fluctuating TRPs were the reason behind the step.

in touch with Manish Raisinghan, who had joined the show a few days ago as the
anti-hero – he essays the role of Nand Kishore’s (Vinay Jain) biological son.
In fact, his entry sequence went on-air YESTERDAY. Goes without saying, Manish
is in a state of “shock”. “I am not shooting today so wasn’t aware of the
development. However, I have been getting messages regarding the same. I
entered the show only a few days ago and am in shock that Swabhiman is going
off air.”

After exiting
Sasural Simar Ka, Manish Raisinghan helmed a short film in which TV actress
Avika Gor assisted him in direction. The project was screened at Cannes Film Festival this year.
Ek Shringaar –
Swabhiman, produced under the banner of Rajshri Telefilms, went on air in
December 2016.
Meanwhile,
another Colors’ show, Sasural Simar Ka, which was scheduled to go off air on
September 19 has got an extension of 6 months and will be shifted to a new
slot.
