The former chief minister and veteran Congress leader from Assam, Tarun Gogoi, passed away on Monday, 23 November due to post COVID-19 complications. He was 86 and active in politics until he tested positive for the virus in August. Former Miss Teen Northeast Mahika says, ‘I'm really shocked to read about Tarun uncle. I have lost my dad again. His smile and a welcoming face are still in front of my eyes. I remember how he once said to me smile on your troubles and you see how trouble turns your happiness.’
Mahika popularly known for working in television shows like Ramayana and F.I.R also adds that she was trying to reach him during Diwali but she failed. "On Diwali I was trying to ping uncle. But I failed then later on International Men's Day I tried again but couldn't. I'm feeling so sorry that I couldn't reach him out. But I wish he keeps his blessings over me always. I wish he rests in peace. I also wish to God that his family get the power to overcome the loss. I would have joined them but because of COVID, it won’t be safe now. I will meet them once I plan to travel back Assam."
Mahika is supporting her FIR co-star and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Kavita Kaushik, she told SpotboyE.com, “She is a fighter and will rule the house. I don't really feel eviction happens on vote. As the makers want a love angle, they want to make it full of romance. So, they also might target Kavita."
