Kumkum Bhagya 20-Year Leap: Kirtida Mistry On Being Replaced By Mughda Chaphekar
Kumkum Bhagya is all set for a leap. And now, the storyline will focus on Abhi-Pragya’s twin daughters. While it was reported that one of the daughters’ character will be played by Kritida Mistry, it’s now being reported that Mughda Chapekar has bagged the role and here’s what Kritida has to say to it
Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya is soon going to witness a 20-year leap. And as we already informed you earlier, post the leap, show’s story will revolve around Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) twin daughters. Now, the latest reports are that makers have zeroed down the actresses to play Shabir and Sriti’s on-screen daughters. But there’s a twist in the tale.
Mughda Chaphekar, whom we last saw in Colors TV’s Savitri Devi College & Hospital, will play Prachi in the show. Whereas Naina Singh, whom we have seen in reality shows like Splitsvilla and India's Next Superstar, will play her twin sister, Rhea.
But you may recall that as per media reports which came out a few days back, actress Kirtida Mistry was finalised to play Prachi's character. However, the latest is that the role has been bagged by Mughda.
We got in touch with Kirtida Mistry to know the reason for this development and she completely denied being finalised for the role. Kirtida said, 'I have no idea about it' and when we further prodded, she just said, “The makers never gave any confirmation to me. So, I don't know if they have finalised anyone else to play the role.”
Kirtida Mistry, who started her acting career with Life Ok's Piya Rangrezz, was last seen in Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha. Meanwhile, a lot of actors are being auditioned for the new innings of Zee TV’s successful show, Kumkum Bhagya. Keep reading this space for more updates from the world of television.
