The TV show Choti Sarrdaarni featuring Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Avinesh Rekhi is one of the most loved shows on television right now. Choti Sarrdaarni has had a massive fan base since it aired on TV. Although the show is garnering rave reviews, it is speculated that lead actress Nimrit Kau will be replaced soon. Speaking with SpotboyE.com exclusively, some days back, Nimrit denied the news and said that she has not made an exit from the show. Now, Kratika Sengar has opened up on the same and reacted to the reports of her replacing Nimrit.

Kratika Sengar confirmed that she is not replacing Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in Choti Sarrdaarni. Talking about the same with the Times of India, Kratika said, “I am not replacing Nimrit, but playing a new character. I wouldn’t have taken up the offer had they approached me to replace the original protagonist. She has played the character so beautifully that I wouldn’t want to step into her shoes.” Kratika revealed that she is not stepping into Nimrit’s shoes but playing a different role instead. She mentioned that she wouldn’t have taken up the offer if the makers approached her to replace the original. She also heaped praises for Nimrit’s performance.

Meanwhile, a source revealed to SpotboyE.com that Nimrit Kaur is very much a part of the show and that she has taken a break due to health issues. The source mentioned that the show needed a popular face for an upcoming track. It was then that Kratika came into picture. The insider said, “She is very much a part of the show and we will try to accommodate her via phone calls. We needed a popular face for an upcoming track and that’s how Kratika came into the picture. We don’t know how long the cameo would last. We will plan the future track once Nimrit recovers and resumes shooting.”

The shoot of Choti Sarrdaarni resumed in June 2020. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Avinesh Rekhi commenced shooting for the show amidst the pandemic, after the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions were slightly lifted.
