Khatron Ke Khiladi 8’s Monica Dogra Shares Her Mom’s COVID-19 Survival Story: ‘She Felt Like She Went To Death's Door And Returned’-VIDEO
Ever since the lockdown eased up a bit, with a few relaxations given but with due precautions, we see a lot of people taking it lightly and stepping out assuming things are getting back to normal. However, those who have battled this deadly virus firsthand or have seen their loved ones go through it have been urging people not to step out. Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 contestant Monica Dogra’s mother had contracted the virus and now, Monica took to her Instagram and narrated the ordeal that her mother went through.

Monica is currently with her mother in the US, and she and her mom both urged people to not take this lightly. “First thing I would say, please don't take it lightly, always be watchful for the symptoms. This thing could be life-threatening,” her mom said. Monica’s mom contracted the virus in late February, and said, at that time Americans were not even testing for Corona and she was told she has a type of flu. Her mom felt better after taking the medicines for about 5 days. Later, around 21st of May, she started feeling lousy, very high fever, and had no energy. She could not breathe and called for an ambulance after which she was taken to the hospital and quarantined.

After that, Monica and her mom narrated their experience further and stated how painful it was to go through all of it. Towards the end, Monica said, “She said she felt like she went to death's door and returned.”

In her caption, Monica Dogra wrote, “We should add that at the end, she was taken off oxygen, her fever came down, and she was sent home from the hospital after ten days. She says it took about a month to get her strength back. She couldn’t walk, go up the steps at her house, take a shower, make food on her own once she went home. She had physical therapists coming home and nurses home for 3 weeks. So depending on a persons access and privileges, recovery from Corona can be dicey. So stay home if you can! And remember that this is super real.”

On the work front, Monica Dogra was seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 8. She has also been one of the judges on the musical reality show, The Stage. ALSO READ: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 Competitors Rithvik Dhanjani And Monica Dogra Reunite As Lovers- EXCLUSIVE
